Tell us what you think about Reading town centre – what can be done to make it more sustainable, inclusive and liveable?

News from: Reading Voluntary Action

RVA is working with the Alliance for Cohesion and Racial Equality (ACRE) and the University of Reading’s Participation Lab on a research project exploring community perceptions of Reading town centre. We are interested in what you think about the town centre and what could be done to make it more sustainable, inclusive and liveable.

-Our online survey is open until Sunday 5 September 2021 and can be found here: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/readingtowncentre

We will also be carrying out focus groups and interviews, and the data generated will inform the Town Centre Strategy which is being developed by Urban Place Lab on behalf of Reading Borough Council.

Why take the survey?
Our aim is that respondents reflect the cultural diversity and community voices of Reading, especially people at risk of being excluded from the conversation about what kind of town centre we want. So please take the survey yourself and share widely with your colleagues, volunteers, service users and members of your groups!

If you have any questions about the survey, you would like to request a paper copy, or you would like to get involved in the focus groups or interviews, please email Demelza at RVA: demelza.hookway@rva.org.uk.
