Small Grants Fund round 2 now open

Reading Borough Council has opened applications for round 2 of its Small Grants Fund 2023/24. £100k is available to encourage grassroots and innovative community action and the criteria are non-prescriptive to enable communities to apply for funding to support activities that are right for their community. Applications should demonstrate how they support the following key elements of Tackling Inequality Strategy:

-Enable everyone within the borough to share in Reading’s success
-Drive attainment in skills, education and training and access to quality employment
-Support people in the town where you think the need is greatest
-Support residents and groups of residents who you see as experiencing disadvantage
-Provide additionality by complementing existing strategies, work, and partnerships aimed at making Reading a more equal place to live.

Individual organisations can apply for up to a £5k grant. Applications should be made via the Small Grants Fund – Reading Borough Council web page.

The deadline for application is 30 January 2024. The council aims to notify the outcome of applications by the first week of March 2024.
