We have worked over our 10-year history to become central to the region’s cultural life, staging unforgettable local stories, inspired by and created with our diverse community.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Community Associate is integral to the role that RABBLE plays in the lives of local people, creating opportunities for people to join in, learn, attend our shows and influence our professional programme. As our Community Associate, you’ll be managing and delivering outreach programmes, strengthening and creating new partnerships, and designing innovative projects that support our vision.
You’ll be delivering at our after-school classes for 11-13 yrs in association with Aspire2, helping create a series of devised pieces based on Reading’s relationship with William the Conqueror. Displaced people, formidable women, the story of Reading and the relevance on our lives today will all be explored, then performed at our inaugural ‘Finding Reading Festival’.
Other planned projects (funding dependant) in 2022/23 include:
-Developing creative and employability skills with service users at Launchpad 135 (adults experiencing homelessness)
-Production Outreach (2023); heritage engagement with local schools
-Arts Award in 2 local schools
