RABBLE Theatre are a local theatre company which delivers high-quality professional theatre and provides an extensive range of outreach and educational work to young people and the community.
RABBLE runs a Young Company for young people aged 8-16, which takes place every Saturday morning, term time. The Young Company provides young people with the opportunity to:
-Engage with a professional theatre company and learn from industry professionals.
-Receive high-quality, varied training in movement, text, devising, voice, Shakespeare, audition technique, directing and the practicalities of working in theatre.
-Develop skills in playwriting and theatre-making.
-Be part of an inclusive, kind and nurturing community and space.
-Meet new people and make new friends.
-Devise a piece of theatre which amplifies their voice and experience of the world.
-Work as part of a company and build team-working skills.
-Perform in a bespoke venue and with a professional set, equipment and staging.
RABBLE are able to provide a limited amount of free places, to begin in the summer term 2022. To fill these places, they are particularly keen to connected with young people who:
-Come from low-income families.
-Those qualifying for pupil premium.
-Young people facing adversity or social/emotional challenges (to which the arts/creativity feels like it could provide benefits).
-Those low in confidence, self-esteem or would benefit from developing collaboration skills.
