Reading Mencap asks young people what they want

News from: Reading Mencap

Reading Mencap is designing a new service for young people with learning disabilities, which will provide exciting opportunities for those aged 18-25. The aim is to provide skills-based training and horticultural activities on a site known as The Hort at Bulmershe Allotments, Reading RG6 1ET.

Reading Mencap plans to transform the rundown, overgrown site into a practical, educational service for up to 50 young people a week, helping them develop skills to maximise their potential to achieve employment or voluntary work.

The charity, which supports people with learning disabilities, is very excited by this project, which it believes will bring huge value to young people and the local community. However, to make sure it gets it right, Reading Mencap would like to hear from young people what they would like the service to offer.

The survey will take a few minutes to complete: https://forms.gle/xw4uPMqZeWGqw41s7

Please call 0118 966 2518 if you need help completing the survey, which will close on 31 December.
