Reading Borough Council will again be helping residents tackle fuel poverty and keep warm over the coming weeks with the re-launch of its Winter Watch initiative. Last year the Council’s Winter Watch scheme helped 800 vulnerable households in Reading keep warm over the winter months. Readings Winter Watch 2013 will provide practical help and advice for vulnerable residents battling to cope with rising fuel bills. Support on offer includes: -Home energy checks -Draught proofing -Access to grants for insulation -Providing heaters and bedding -Emergency payments This years campaign starts next week and will run from December 1st 2013 until 31st March 2014.
