News from Whitley Growallot
We are now starting our third growing season, having completed the planned development of the site (including BBQ, meeting shed and compost loo!) and established a working committee.
The focus of 2015 will be to offer the best possible growing resource to local people that we can. We have built up a productive garden (too much to eat at times) and a solid community of local growers. For the next phase we need to offer interesting, relevant workshops, courses and activities for people that don’t usually grow to get involved with. And make sure that we grow the produce that people want to eat!
So if you can think of a way you can help achieve these aims, come along to the meeting of the Whitley GrowAllot committee this coming Sunday 22 February from 3-4pm in the shed in the garden. We promise to keep it to 45mins-1hour and provide tea and cake! We are down the alley at the end of Meavy Gardens, Reading RG2 7RD.
