Summer’s on the way, and this year there are more festivals, fairs and street parties around Reading than ever. How about trying some of these?
Monday 30 May, Prospect Park: Reading Carnival – come along and enjoy the atmosphere, with a preview of some of the colourful costumes for this year’s Notting Hill Carnival.
Saturday 4 June, Victoria Recreation Ground, Tilehurst: Summer fete organised by the League of Friends of the Royal Berkshire Hospital. This year the event will be themed around the Euro 2016 finals in France.
Saturday 5 June, Saturday 11 June & Sunday 12 June: Big Lunch street parties, all around Reading. Look out for one near you!
Saturday 11 June, Forbury Gardens & the River Kennet: Reading Water Fest and Reading Green Fest. Enjoy a celebration of Reading’s waterways and boats with activities for all the family, along with a festival of everything sustainable around the Town Hall square.
Sunday 19 June, Palmer Park: East Reading Festival. Expect plenty of live music, entertainment and a colourful mix of all the many cultures of East Reading.
