Still time to help make Reading Town Meal!

News from: Food4Families

Reading’s Town Meal is run entirely by volunteers and community groups and now tasty meal-maker rewards are now on offer to community donors who help make it happen in 2016. Over 1,000 people are served up a mouth-watering meal made from fresh fruit & veg donated by home-growers, cooked and served up by Reading College catering students in Forbury Gardens.

Workshops, fun activities for all the family, local musicians’ showcase, community groups’ and producer stalls complete the day. Be a part of this unique community celebration of home-grown and local food in our town.

With all the very generous contributions so far, we can hire Forbury Gardens, a sound system and the toilets as well as buy the plates and cutlery to eat the meal. Now we need a big push to get that marquee and kit it out with stoves and tables to serve up Reading Town Meal 2016!  Can you help?

Visit to give any donation, big or small, and choose your tasty ‘meal maker’ reward. With your support we can hire this equipment for this fabulous food festival in 2016.
