Katesgrove Community Association was founded as Katesgrove Residents’ Association on Thursday 7 October 1971, with its members voting for the name change in 2014 to represent the association’s wider aims. We meet bi-monthly at the Waterloo Meadows Centre off Elgar Road.
Katesgrove Community Association likes to hold events throughout the year to encourage community growth.
We also aim to support the rights and interests of our community, Katesgrove Ward, by working in partnership with Reading Borough Council, Thames Valley Police and other agencies.
We encourage residents to get involved in projects that can help make a difference to where we live:
Environmental issues, such as clean ups and a community allotment
Events and fundraising (organising & helping out with fayres, The Big Lunch)
Crime – The Safer Neighbourhood Forum forms part of KCA and this could involve helping with specific issues that the police may be working on – or helping them with leaflet drops and encouraging reporting.
