With the recent addition of the new Norcot Community Association Reading, Neighbourhood Network now has 50 member groups. RNN’s membership has more than doubled since it was founded in December 2012.
RNN chair Helen Lambert said: “We are delighted that we have reached this important milestone. We shall be going into our Neighbourhoods Conference in October knowing that RNN represents an even broader range of people around Reading, both geographically and in terms of their different interests.”
As well as the number of members, it is the diversity of groups that gives RNN its strength. In addition to the traditional tenants’ and residents’ associations RNN’s membership includes Neighbourhood Action Groups, community allotments and environmental associations such as GLOBE groups and Reading-wide projects and networks.
