by Melissa Wise (Transformation Programme Manager, Reading Borough Council)
Reading Borough Council is developing a new online services guide which will provide a one-stop information point for Reading residents of all ages.
The guide will offer information about:
*Care services, specialist support services, social activities and advice services for older people and people with disabilities and their carers
*Information for families in the Family Information Service (FIS) section of the guide – parents can search for Registered Childcare Services, see OFSTED reports, find activities or get parenting advice.
*Services, activities and support for young people
Later this year we will be adding the “Local Offer” which will provide details about local services and support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to help improve choice for them and their families.
If you know of local services people will benefit from, please promote the Reading Services Guide to local clubs, associations and providers who can register and add their services to the guide.
