Each year, Reading Borough Council sets its budget for the coming year. This budget sets the rate of Council Tax for the coming year, and shows how much the council will spend to run vital services including parks, playgrounds, libraries, waste and recycling, planning, transport, highways, street cleaning, environmental health, children’s services and adult social care. It also includes proposals to invest in the town to maintain and improve assets such as buildings and leisure facilities.
The council is consulting on its budgetary proposals and is keen to hear what you think. To comment on the proposals please visit www.reading.gov.uk/budgetconsultation2020.
The consultation closes on Sunday 19 January 2020.
