Get Berkshire Active – Activate Fund

Get Berkshire Active are managing the Activate fund on behalf of the Sports Council Trust Company. The aim of the fund is to provide new physical activity and sport opportunities for inactive people living in deprived areas in Berkshire. Organisations with an income of less than £250,000, can apply for between £750 and £2000. There are two application deadlines:

ROUND 1 – Opens 29.07.19 – Closes 16.09.19 – Announcements of grants awarded w/c 30.09.19
ROUND 2 – Opens 14.10.19 – Closes 25.11.19 – Announcements of grants awarded w/c 09.12.19

What they will fund: The funding will cover new physical activity projects in Berkshire with the overall aim of getting more inactive people active. Ideally the funding will be used towards a new project, new target audience or new geographical area rather than supporting costs associated with an existing activity.

-Projects must evidence how they expect to sustain delivery beyond the life of the funding.
-Collaboration projects are welcomed.
-Applications which will predominantly cover the costs of one-off events must provide details of how they intend to deliver a longer-term impact.
-Funding will be weighted towards projects located within an area of deprivation. In Reading this is identified as: Whitley, Church, Norcot.
