The Department of Health and Social Care is currently inviting 250-word responses to the question: Which health and social care policies should be reviewed to improve the health of people living in poorer communities, or excluded groups? You can give your response online at https://consultations.dh.gov.uk.
The examples they give of excluded groups are people sleeping rough, people leaving care, ex-offenders, and Gypsy, Traveller and Roma communities, but need not be limited to these.
The question forms part of a wider consultation on Advancing our health: prevention in the 2020s, which is open until 14 October 2019. The consultation seeks views on proposals to tackle the causes of preventable ill health in England, and also includes questions on creating healthy spaces, active ageing and local action.
