Delivering Integrated Health and Social Care in Reading – get involved!

News from: Reading Voluntary Action

Come and join RVA at Reading’s Wellbeing Forum on Friday 9 September. It’s a great opportunity for Voluntary and Community groups to explore RVA’s involvement in delivering an integrated health and social care service to some of the most vulnerable people in Reading.

The local vision for health and wellbeing is that “Communities and agencies working together to make the most efficient use of available resources to improve life expectancy, reduced health inequalities and improve the health and wellbeing across the life course” (Health and Wellbeing Board 14.06.16)

Hear from Kevin Johnson ( Reading’s Integration Programme Manager) about progress towards integration and discuss the voluntary sector’s role in future plans.

The Forum will also give you an opportunity to have your say about the priorities for Reading’s new Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy. Janette Searle, (RBC’s Preventative Services Development Manager) will set the scene and facilitate table discussions about what you think are the key priorities for local commissioning.
