Job vacancy: First Stop Bus Project Coordinator

The Mustard Tree Foundation runs the First Stop Bus service, for both weekend and midweek community use. The Coordinator will report to the First Stop Bus Project Group and will receive supervision from The Mustard Tree CEO.

The main part of the role is to coordinate the project, ensuring that Bus is a valuable community resource. So far the First Stop Bus’s main function has been its night time use (a safe-haven to improve safety for people in Reading weekend evenings and help prevent unnecessary admissions to A&E). It is also used midweek as a health outreach service and educational facility, partnering with community groups and local organisations.
The successful candidate will be able to ensure the smooth running of the project by keeping good records, working well with staff and volunteers and build on existing working relationships with other key stakeholders.

37.5 hours per week (includes going out on the Bus once every 3 weeks, totalling approx. 11 hours per month at the ‘Out of Office Hours overtime’ rate)
Salary: £20,331-£20,965 plus 11 hours of Out of Office Hours overtime = £22,051-£22,739

Training: The successful candidate must be able to attend a training event on 11 February from 6.45pm until 7.45pm.
