Budgeting and Financial Forecasting for Managers and Trustees

This session will benefit finance workers and trustees responsible for preparing and monitoring budgets. Participants will consider differences between surplus (deficit) on one hand, and overspends and underspends on the other, and which ones to prioritise at any given time.
The session will cover will cover the following
- What is a budget
- why set a budget
- zero based and incremental budgets
- budget setting process
- Allocating time, cost and volume
- budgeting for financial year vs budgeting for project years
- budget monitoring and variance analysis
- forecasting and projected out turns
Trustees will learn basic budget monitoring and forecasting skills so as to ask the right questions.
The course costs £25 for RVA members using the RVA discount code RVAMember50. For all other attendees the course costs £50.
